West Richland chiropractor accused of illicit touching has sentencing delayed

A suspended chiropractor agreed Wednesday to delay his sentencing a month for kissing and inappropriately touching a preteen girl.

The hearing was postponed to July 30 because the court has yet to receive a presentencing evaluation for Jeffery A. Sullivan. The 46-year-old West Richland man pleaded guilty in May in Benton County Superior Court to communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.

Sullivan knew the girl from motocross events before treating her for an injury last year, according to documents. The illicit contact occurred Nov. 1 while Sullivan and the victim were riding around in his truck at 2 a.m. as another girl was driving, documents said.
